Waterford Community Sponsorship and Grants Program
AVID Property Group (AVID) is proud to support a wide range of not-for-profit, industry and community organisations across Australia through its Community Sponsorship and Grants Program.
Here at AVID, we love supporting local programs, events, schools and clubs. Over the past 3 years, we have been a proud supporter of a number of programs and businesses in New South Wales, including Take 3 for the Sea, Top Blokes and St Bede’s Catholic College.
AVID’s Sponsorship and Grants Program is divided into three categories: Build, Connect, Activate.
Build < $50,000
Build grants support large projects or campaigns, with potential national reach through shared promotional activity. An example of a Build sponsorships is our partnership with Take 3 for the Sea.
Take 3 for the Sea
AVID is proud to be supporting the Take 3 for the sea movement. Take 3 is committed to reducing plastic pollution through education and public participation.
In collaboration with Take 3 co-founder Tim Silverwood, AVID hosted a series of Take 3 events across Australia’s eastern seaboard in 2018/2019.
By enabling local communities to get behind the Take 3 initiative, AVID supports Take 3 in its mission to inspire genuine change, creating a cleaner environment for future generations.

Connect < $10,000
Connect grants help to create lasting community partnerships and connections in and around the wider Waterford community. Previous Connect sponsorships in New South Wales have included Top Blokes Foundation.
Top Blokes Foundation
The Top Blokes Foundation is a social education organisation that improves the mental health, emotional resilience and community engagement of at-risk and disadvantaged young males aged 10-24. Through our peer-led mentoring and community leadership programs, young men develop positive decision-making skills, decreasing their risk-taking and anti-social behaviours while developing personal qualities of integrity and self-respect. AVID’s support of Top Blokes helped deliver this program to 24 young males who attend a High School in the area.
Participants will have increased their level of social and emotional resilience, help-seeking and conflict resolution skills. This enables participants to develop independent judgement skills to make better choices when in high peer pressured or high-risk social situations.

Activate < $5,000
Activate grants support local initiatives at a grassroots level, with projects delivered within Waterford.
Previous Activate projects in New South Wales have included St Bede’s Catholic School’s Weather Monitoring. They have set up a professional grade weather station to provide real time weather information for Chisholm. This data will be freely available to weather services, to help improve the quality and accuracy of weather information for the residents of Waterford as well as increasing their students’ skills in understanding and using weather information.
